Psychological Aspects of Political Choices: Focus on Cognition, Decision-Making Styles, and Emotions in Voting Behaviour

The presented paper focuses on the issue of voting behaviour. It aims to determine importance selected cognitive factors, decision-making styles and emotional factors in electoral behaviour voters with different political preferences specific Slovak parties. style was evaluated using Cognitive Reflection Test - Version 2. Decision-making were explored General Decision Making Styles Questionnaire emotion information processing following affective states test. Within research sample (N = 308, average age 36.2 years), distinct groups created: 1. based parties ideological orientations, predictive significance observed characteristics for choice a subject particular ideology party explored.
